Welcome to Eligant AI, LLC. This Privacy Policy outlines how Eligant AI, LLC (‘Eligant,’ ‘we,’ ‘our,’ or ‘us’) collects, uses, and discloses personal information.


This Policy only applies to the information we collect from and about Professionals and not from or about individuals who may interact with Professionals, such as by booking an appointment or receiving invoices and estimates. If you are an individual who has used the Services to provide personal information to a Professional and have questions about their data handling practices, please consult the Professional’s privacy policy and contact the Professional if you have questions or wish to exercise any rights you may have under applicable law

Our Role as a Data Processor

This Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect from you, the auto shop Professional.


When you use our Services, you will input information about your own customers (e.g., their names, phone numbers, and vehicle data). For this
data, you are the “Data Controller” (you own and control it), and Eligant acts as your “Data Processor.”


Our obligations as a Data Processor are governed by a Data Processing Addendum (DPA), which is legally part of our Terms and Conditions. This DPA outlines how we protect and process your customers’ data on your behalf.

Information We Collect

We collect information through various means, as detailed below, to provide and enhance our Services.

a. Information You Provide Directly

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Account Registration: When you create an Eligant account.
  • Communications: When you contact customer support or communicate with us.
  • Business Information: When you provide details about your business, including name, address, services offered, pricing, availability, and
    images or videos of your work.
  • Transactional Data: When you purchase our Services.
  • Marketing Preferences: When you subscribe to newsletters or promotional content. This data may include, but is not limited to, identifiers such as name, phone number, email address, license number, and vehicle identification numbers
    (VINs).

b. Information from Other Sources

We may collect supplemental information from external sources, including:

  • Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention: Information from nonaffiliated third parties to verify your identity or enhance security
    measures.
  • User-Provided Information: If another user provides your contact details, such as when referring you to our Services.
  • Payment Processing: Information obtained through our payment processor, Stripe, including card details and tax identification numbers
    for transaction and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Google Business Profile Data: If you connect your Google Business Profile, we collect and store your reviews, business information, and
    OAuth access tokens to enable review management features.

c. Information Collected Automatically

We and our vendors (including analytics providers such as Google Analytics) may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information automatically. This may include:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser type
  • Internet service provider (ISP)
  • IP address and location data (if consented to)
  • Usage metrics such as access times, page views, and referring/exit pages
  • Engagement and navigation behavior within our Services

d. Google Business Profile Data & Limited Use

To enable review management features, Eligant requests access to your Google Business Profile.

  • How we use this data: We use this access solely to fetch your business location details, retrieve customer reviews, and allow you to post replies
    to those reviews directly from the Eligant platform.
  • Storage & Sharing: This data is stored securely. We do not share this data with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
  • Limited Use Disclosure: Eligant’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API
    Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

e. Information We derive

We may derive insights about you based on collected data, such as determining your business type or geographical location from your IP address.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for business and operational purposes, including:

  • To administer and troubleshoot the Services.
  • To provide you with the Services, including registering you for an account, connecting you with other Professionals using the Services, or
    in conducting your business with clients;
  • To respond to your questions or inquiries, including to provide customer support and troubleshooting assistance;
  • To communicate with you, including sending you emails about products, events and Services that may interest you;
  • To manage and remember your preferences and personalize your experience of the Services;
  • To analyze and improve the Services and develop new products, features and services;
  • To administer surveys, promotions, or contests;
  • To verify your identity;
  • To comply with our legal obligations or as permitted by law;
  • To protect the safety and/or integrity of our users, employees, other parties, members of the public, and/or our Services;
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our legal terms; and

Information Disclosure

We only share your personal information in the limited circumstances
described below. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with
third parties for their marketing purposes.

  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who help us operate our Services, such as our
    payment processor (Stripe) , cloud hosting providers, and analytics providers (Google Analytics).
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal
    process.
  • Business Transfers: If Eligant is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred
    as part of that transaction.
  • We may disclose information to enforce our Terms , prevent fraud , and protect the safety and integrity of our Services and users.

SMS Messaging & Consent

When you provide your mobile number and opt in to receive communications from Eligant, you consent to receive SMS messages from eligant.tech related to account creation, onboarding, service reminders, and support. Message and data rates may apply.


You can opt out of receiving these messages at any time by replying with STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any message.
Eligant will not send promotional or marketing SMS messages without your express consent. Your phone number and personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.


Eligant does not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data or customer phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. All messages are transactional and service-related unless the user has provided separate, express consent for promotional messages.


Message frequency varies based on your activity but will not exceed 5 messages per week unless you opt in for additional notifications

Your Choices and Controls

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:


Profile Information: You can update certain of your profile information by accessing your account.


Marketing Communications: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by following the directions in those emails. Please note that if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you administrative emails regarding the Services, including, for example, notices of updates to our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.


Cookies & Analytics: You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. If you prefer, you can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the availability and functionality of our Services.


Precise Location Information: If you initially consent to our collection of location information from your mobile device, you can subsequently stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device.


Mobile Push Notifications: With your permission, we may send push notifications to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any
time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for users aged 18 and above. If you believe that a minor has provided personal information, please contact us through our email.

Data Retention

We keep your information for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and your choices, after which time we may delete and/or aggregate it. We may also retain and use this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: Such as your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information: Such as your business name, address, services offered, and pricing.
  • Financial Information: Such as payment card details and tax identification numbers, which are collected and processed by our
    payment processor (Stripe).
  • Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity: Such as your IP address, device type, browser type, and usage metrics .
  • Geolocation Data: Such as your location.
  • Inferences: Such as insights we derive about your business type or
    location .

We collect this information for the business and operational purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” section above .
We disclose this information to our service providers, such as Stripe, AWS and Google Analytics, as described in the “Information Disclosure” section . We do not “sell” your personal information or “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.


Your Rights Subject to certain limitations, you may have the right to:

  • Request to know more about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Opt out of any “sales” or “sharing” of your personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
